Sharad N Bansal holds his master’s degree in economics with specialization in econometrics, and doctoral degree in banking and business finance under the Reserve Bank of India Fellowship Programme. 

Presently, Professor Bansal is Professor and Head, Department of Co-operation and In-charge Director, Reserve Bank of India Endowment Unit at the Faculty of Commerce. His areas of specialization include macroeconomics, rural finance and co-operatives, and applied econometrics. 

Professor Bansal has the teaching experience at the university level for twenty-five years and has extensive research work which includes national and international publications and seminar presentations, book, project reports, directing national seminars and guiding doctoral students. 

Professor Bansal has also been the BBA Associate Programme Director, Foreign Students Advisor and President, M. S. University Union.
